When Cindy Sherman and her husband moved to San Francisco from the Bay Area to take over the family business, they never imagined that it would be so different from the hometown they’d grown up in.
As Shermans, they’d never been in the spotlight before.
But when a new generation of celebrities and investors entered the business, Shermans’ life changed forever.
Now, as the wife of billionaire investor Warren Buffett, Sherms has become the poster child for a business that has defied traditional expectations and has created something of a renaissance in the Bay.
Shermans is known for being one of the most outspoken women in the business.
“I always had the idea that if you have an idea, you don’t have to put in the work,” Shermans said.
“But it’s the hard work that makes me so proud to be a part of this company.
I’m here to make a difference in the world.”
And so Shermans and her team built a business out of a simple concept: She could take photographs of beautiful landscapes and turn them into an artistic portfolio.
That was how she could get her hands on a small, inexpensive camera that could record her husband’s life on film.
That same concept helped her get her foot in the door with some of the biggest names in the photography world.
When Shermans met Warren Buffett in 2010, he had a camera in his office, and Shermans started to take his images with it.
She had seen his portfolio of photos and had a lot of respect for it.
“When Warren came in, I was like, ‘I don’t think we should be doing this,'” Shermans told Vice News.
She wanted to work with him.
Warren’s company Berkshire Hathaway is one of Warren Buffett’s largest investments.
Sherms said that she was drawn to Berkshire because it had an ambitious vision for the future of photography, but she also liked its philosophy of giving back.
“We’re trying to make money,” she said.
Buffett, who is the founder of the private equity firm Berkshire Hathaways, is a well-known advocate of giving, but Shermans wanted to help her take the next step.
“There was something that I loved about Warren, and that was that he was the kind of guy who would make the big decisions for me,” Sherms told Vice.
“He was kind of like, you know, ‘Let’s take this, let’s give it a shot.'”
Shermans began to travel to places like Paris and Italy to meet with wealthy investors.
The next thing she knew, she was taking portraits of herself and Warren Buffett.
In 2013, Sherts family was sitting at a dinner party in a San Francisco hotel when a man sitting next to Shermans offered to help.
He was able to convince Warren Buffett to invest in her company.
Sherys family, including her husband, had always considered themselves extremely independent.
When Warren came to town, Sherys said she knew she had to put her life into her business.
She was already working with the photographer’s family to help them take their portfolio to the next level.
“My husband is a very wealthy man, and it took a lot for him to come by,” Sherks said.

Sheroms mother, Ruth, is also an investor in Sherms.
Shermys parents, Warren and Susan, are a big proponent of philanthropy.
Sheriffs father, George, is the chairman of the board of directors of the Children’s Defense Fund, a nonprofit that provides care for children with disabilities.
“People don’t realize how much I have to give to help make sure that children are safe,” Sherys told Vice in an interview in 2014.
“It’s so much harder to give than it is to take care of.
The people who do the work, they need my help.”
The couple said that the work was not easy, but they worked hard to get it done.
They hired Shermans to help take their images and turned them into the company’s digital portfolio.
Sherinas team took her pictures in a small studio, using a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera, a Fuji X-T1 camera, and a Leica M9.
It was a challenging and creative process, but it was worth it for the couple.
They started taking portraits at their home in the San Francisco Bay Area, where the company grew from $50,000 in 2011 to $10 million in 2016.
Shermins business has become so successful that she is now looking to expand her photography portfolio.
“A lot of people get scared about taking these images, but that’s not really true,” Shermas said.
She said she was inspired by how other photographers were able to help change the world, including photographers like Annie Leibovitz, who used her photographs to help raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and to help end apartheid in South Africa.
“The world is more connected,
